As 2024 draws to a close, I can confidently say that it has been an incredibly productive year. Through determination and a clear focus on refining my craft, I’ve achieved significant milestones, learned new skills, and made strides in areas that have brought me closer to my creative and professional goals. From completing major projects to expanding my social media presence, this year has been a testament to what persistence and passion can achieve.
Achievements in 2024
1. Terres Nei Phase I Completed
This year marked a major milestone in my journey with the Dark Ichalocha of Terres Nei series. Phase I of the project is officially complete, setting the stage for the next exciting chapters. It’s been a long road, but seeing the foundation of the series solidify has been deeply rewarding.
2. Published Book 6: The Dark Ichalocha Of Terres Nei: Azaeleaus Espiritus
December has been particularly special with the publication of Azaeleaus Espiritus, the sixth installment in the series. The culmination of months of writing, editing, and world-building, this book represents a key turning point in the saga. Feedback from readers has been heartening, and it’s motivating to see the story resonate with the audience.
3. Completed the Terres Nei Font Script
Developing a unique font script for Terres Nei has been a fascinating and challenging endeavor. The script not only enhances the immersive quality of the series but also adds a layer of authenticity to the world-building. This project pushed me to learn new skills in typography and design, and the results have been worth every moment.
4. Created Detailed Regional Maps
Map-making has always been one of my favorite aspects of world-building, and this year I’ve taken it to the next level. 5. Character Design Through AI
Using AI to assist with character design has been a game-changer. Learning to Draw Manga
1. Created My First Manga (15 Pages)
This year, I took a significant leap by creating my first 15-page manga. Translating my storytelling skills into a visual medium was a rewarding challenge that required me to think differently about pacing, layout, and expression. Completing this project has been a highlight of my creative journey.
2. Started Drawing Yonkomas (Four-Panel Manga)
Yonkomas have been an excellent way to refine my manga-drawing skills in a manageable format. I’ve enjoyed the creative constraints of telling concise, impactful stories within four panels, and I plan to continue exploring this format as I grow as an artist.
Expansion of Social Media
1. Steady Flow of Content on TikTok and YouTube
This year, I’ve focused on building a consistent content schedule for TikTok and YouTube. From behind-the-scenes looks at my projects to tutorials and storytelling insights, I’ve created a steady stream of engaging videos. This has helped me connect with a broader audience and share my creative process in a way that inspires others.
Plans for 2025
As I look ahead to 2025, I’m excited to build on this year’s momentum. Here’s a glimpse of what’s on the horizon:
1. Work on Phase II of the Dark Ichalocha of Terres Nei Series
The next phase of the Terres Nei series will be ambitious and expansive. My plans include:
Publishing Books 7–15 between 2025 and 2026.
Redesigning the official website for Dark Ichalocha to make it more interactive and visually appealing.
Adding new character designs, created entirely by me, to the series’ visuals.
Uploading past video content to ensure accessibility and archiving for new fans.
Developing an interactive map to enhance reader engagement.
Creating core words and redesigning the transliteration system for the series’ language to deepen the lore and enrich the reading experience.
2. Manga Practice and Art
My artistic goals for 2025 are ambitious but achievable:
Create my second 15- to 20-page manga. Building on the skills I developed this year, I’m eager to take on a longer project with more complex storytelling.
Start working with watercolors to explore traditional art techniques and add a new dimension to my artwork.
Invest more time in creating digital art using tablets, blending traditional and digital methods to refine my style.
3. Start a New Group Podcast
One of my most exciting plans for 2025 is launching a podcast with a friend. While the details are still being finalized, the concept revolves around discussing creative processes, storytelling, and our experiences as artists and writers. This podcast will be a platform for sharing insights and connecting with a like-minded community.
